Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler PT CRUISER. The contact had 3-D crystal angel stickers on the corner panel of her windshield for decorative purposes. She received a recall notice from the manufacturer for the corner panel windshield, stating that it needed to be replaced. She took her vehicle to the dealer and they stated that due to the 3-D angel stickers on her glass, they could not perform the recall repair. The contact believes that it is dangerous to not have a working windshield, and the dealer should follow through with their recall repair regardless of the stickers. The VIN and recall number were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 68,000.

The windshield of my 2 year old PT CRUISER has a very large crack which is getting bigger every day. The cooling system failed and the vehicle overheated after driving a few miles. The diagnostic engine light came on and remained on. The ac stopped working. Huffines Chrysler charged me over $500 to repair the cooling system.
