A known problem with the Chrysler Pacifica is the use of battery power, both the main batter and aux battery. I have had three auxillary batteries in the past 12 months.

Pacifica

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,000 miles

Bought my 2018 Pacifica in November of 2018. Have had it for six months and the mileage is at approx. 7,000. Parked in my driveway today (05-11-2019) and loaded the family in to go to an event in Detroit. Van wouldn't start. Dash message advised that the car wasn't in park. Then it advised it needed service for gear select service. The van had a total electrical meltdown. The wipers starting engaging. Then the remote went dead and nothing worked in the car at all. Completely dead. Tow company arrived to tow it out of my driveway (and back to the dealership) but first attempted to jump with jump box. Not luck. Loaded it onto the flatbed and off to Suburban Chrysler in F.H. They can't get to work on it until Monday. Waiting to see what they say the problem is. Real great for our family of six to be without a van. You know, the $40K van I bought brand new six months ago!!!!

stop/start and engine light on

Driving down the interstate and the stop/start light and check engine light came on. Pulled to the side of the road, shut the car off and went to restart it, the starter just grinded and grinded before it restarted. I called the dealership and they told me that they could not check it until 1/7/19. I told them it was unacceptable for a car with 5000 miles on it to be having this kind of issues so they told me to bring the car in on 12/27 and they would have a loaner car available for me (I am a home health nurse). When I took the car in they acted like I had lost my mind about the loaner car. Will NEVER deal with this particular dealership again. I had a 2017 Pacifica and never had these kind of issues! Very dissatisfied with this car.
