My ignition cylinder locked up one day when I went to start it. The steering wheel had play in it but the key wouldn't turn. The tow truck driver tapped the key lightly with the butt of a flashlight inward and he said it realigns the tumblers, whoever, it you have this problem, the cylinder is shot and need to have it replaced by the dreaded dealer. BAD news, it is not covered under extended warranty. Not sure if the regular warranty covers it.
