My cooling system and radiator were just replaced 4 months ago ( for god knows what reason ) and the thermostat they put in is bad and NOT a Chrysler product. Even though my extended service warranty has expired the parts ( including a new transmission I didn't need ) are under Hunter dodge warranty for parts.

Trouble started when I was driving home from work around 2am and it was cold outside, I turned my heater on and it didnt work but for only a minute then it blew out cold air, after that my MIL came on, when code came up, P0135 I think was the code ) it said something about loop fuel control..?.?.?, the problem was the thermostat, yes my new one.!!! Thermostat problem can also be causing my car to clunk when coming to a stop, ( not sure yet if that cures the prob. ) my car is idling too high and not commencing with the tranny. I have to drive it more to comfirm that theory though..I will keep u up-dated. The clunking feels like you got rear rinded when coming to a stop and that maybe your tranny fell off, after they put new tranny in the problem still exists but even worse now its stumbling and clunking !!! thermostat problem could cause car to do that I was told by my good friend and master mechanic that diagnosed heating and MIL problem from over the phone 1500 away with only a code and explanation, even my dealer agreed to that !!! Unfortunately I was bound by that extended service contract and I could not let anyone touch my car except just 1 dealer, they are blood sucking people, make sure to get a contract that lets you go anywhere to fix your car, they put soooo many new parts on my car that were not necessary such as a radiator, cooling system, tranny, ECM and etc...and charge Chrysler BIG BUCKS for it, and me a $100 deductible.

I went in to have a lil drip checked and all of a sudden they said I needed a new radiator and entire cooling system ( not under warranty ) and I only have 53,000 on my car and never had a over heating problem, they replaced all that and my car still has that lil drip !!!!! wtf ???? That is not right !!!! I will let you know if new thermostat helps tranny problem , I will keep u up-dated.

Sebring LX Convertible 2.7L V6

First the car engine wouldn't warm up, and the heater blew cold air for 6 miles (finally turned it off), next morning heater worked but the mil (malfunction indicator light) came on and wouldn't go off. I haven't taken it in because it'll cost a fortune, so I parked it in the garage. When I win the lottery, I'll take it in. This is my 2002 Sebring Convertible. and it's 20 degrees outside. When I get it fixed, I'll let you know.
