I bought this car in August of 2007 and the airbag light problem was fixed before delivery...something with the seatbelts. Anywho a couple weeks a go it came back; on/off and ding ding. If I'm alone I crank up the stereo which by the way I had to replace blown speakers on lol. I am past the 12 month warranty on original repair and the dealership finds no humor in the fact that I think they should subtract the 3 week in June they had my car rebuilding the engine due to oil sludge. Good news is I am shopping for a new car and while I'm undecided on what to get I do know that I will not be purchasing any Chrysler or Dodge vehicles. No offense carcomplaints.com but I look forward to the day I can remove your site from my favorites list, and it's not going to happen till I rid myself of this nightmare of a car :)

I had the airbag light problem too that has been mentioned several times here. I chose to ignore it until my inspection was due and it wouldn't pass with the air bag light on. I declined the diagnostic test a local garage offered to do to fix it and came home and found Henry's answer on how to reset the air bag sensor and it worked. Don't know how long it will work for, but it passed inspection today, so thanks Henry!

The airbag light seemed to be randomly coming on and going off. I doubted that there was actually an air bag problem, but considered just removing the light bulb, when I read about this possible solution. It seems to be a common problem

Another unbelievable and completely inexplicable problem NOT covered under any warranty by Chrysler! This time the Airbag light comes on randomly one evening and won't turn off. I take it to the Chrysler dealership who says that there's a part (about $160 part!!!) that needs to be replaced, which will cost $160 in labor to replace it. So $320 and 2 days later, the light is off. No explanation, no reason, just requests for more money in order to fixc what may or may not be a significant problem.

Same as others have reported, air bag light goes on.. DING, stays on a bit, then off, then air bag light goes on... DING, stays on a bit, then off. There is no rhyme or reason as to when the air bag light and bell go on.... and off. Apparently there is a problem with no concern from Chrysler for a solution. I am almost sure there are more than several complaints about this issue. So...... what can be done? Chrysler.... do YOU have an answer?

off and on, off and on!!!! since the day I owned that car. Dealer's solution? They always say it's the seat belt tensioner. Buy parts, replace tensioner. If it's not the driver's side seat belt tensioner, then it's the passenger side seat belt tensioner. Fixes the problem for couple months, then it's back again, off and on, off and on!!! It's happened MORE than 3 TIMES!!!! What the hell? They say it's not covered under warranty. My car is under warranty till 100k. Some good that warranty did! I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth fixing all the time? If I had to fix it all the time, I'd be at the dealer service every other MONTH! I'm a chick, so yea, they take advantage of stupid me! I won't be buying ANY Chrysler car again.

The airbag light comes on and the bell rings periodcally. I have to move the seat back and forth everytime I get in and it has a very annoying crating sound. Then the air bag light will come on and stay on unless I move the seat back and forth a few times. This will sometimes fix the problem and sometimes it won't. I have taken it in before for this and they just told me it was a seatbelt problem that caused it. I'm not sure what I am going to do this time. Right now it has stopped, but it wil start again I know. This will be the 2nd time I have taken it in for the same problem if I decide to take it this time.

The airbag light now goes on then goes off with a bell sound, at first it just stayed on. I now have 37,500 miles on it, thinking about taking it in, the bell sound is annoying..

Just wondered what Henry's fix was below. Having the same issue. Light came on intermittently for a while, now stays on permanently.
Thanks for any info.
