So upset with very little miles and not sure if I want to invest that kind of money. Planned on have the car repainted since the hood and top of the car is losing all the clear coat. There is some bubbling and rust over both rear wheels and was told it not worth it because both quarter panels would need to be replaced. So far all the quotes I have received are over $3000.00. The one with replacing the panels are up to $5000.00. The car runs great and was hoping to keep it another 5yrs. It's a shame that they charge so much for a car and yet can't make a paint not to chip and bubble. I wash and wax regularly. Take it in for regular maintenance only to have it look horrible .

paint bubbling on quater panels and rocker panels

left quarter panel started bubbling this last winter ...took it to a auto body technician and he said that he bought one for his daughter, same year and make and has worked on other sebrings.. the same make and year and has saw this problem. Now in the last month have noticed the rocker panels doing the same thing...I wash the car weekly...have kept it in the garage and think its the manufacturer defect. Has anyone else had this problem with the 2007 sebrings?

Purchased new from Chrysler. Clear coat peeling by year 2. Reported to Chrysler and they refused to fix problem unless car was rusted thru! Peeling of paint and clear coat continued and my once beautiful car looks horrible. Reported to Chrysler again in 2015 and was told the problem is environmental after person talked to supervisor! Paint bubbling in areas and almost entire car is peeling!

Took to body shop and was told would cost more to paint than vehicle is worth now! Manager said car was painted wrong and this is a typical Chrysler problem because of paint techniques used in manufacturing. Has 92,000/miles.Amazing how person from Chrysler can tell paint problem is environmental! Must have great eyes!! Must be trained well by employer to diagnose problem over phone! Have even showed car to Chrysler sales person who said it was terrible!! Sure wanted to sell me another Chrysler though. Second body shop told me same as first one, paint is substandard!
