Not safe, this appears to be a common complaint and part of a recall issue dated back when vehicles manufactured. I purchased my vehicle used so not sure if this is a recall issue. I have also been asked by other 2007 Sebring owners if I have experienced such stated complaint, which leads me to believe this is an ongoing condition with these vehicles and very unsafe. Viewing your complaints this is the most problematic in the 2007 Sebring.

Sebring 4 Cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,654 miles

Engine stalled at the stoplight yesterday and started lurching at others on the way home. In the last 18 months, I have had the transmission replaced, two alternators, brakes, belts, and two batteries and this piece of crap continues to disappoint. I am just waiting for it to strand me now and my extended warranty is now up so i will screwed.

Like everyone else, there is no codes, no lights, and it starts right back up but what happens when it just stops and I am rear-ended at 60 miles per hour on the highway I have to travel everyday. As soon as I can get my 401K money I am ditching this car and will never buy another Chrysler product in my life.

CAR STALLING WHEN MAKING A SLOW TURN OR STANDING IDLE WHILE IN DRIVE. ENGINE STRUGGLING TO STAY AT A CONSTANT PURR WHEN IDLE AND IN DRIVE/NEUTRAL/REVERSE. no warning lights whatsoever and starts back up no problem. this is very annoying/embarrassing/dangerous!!! bought this car used mid 2011 because it only had 30K miles!! No wI think I see why the previous owner got rid of it!! Called Chrysler and they wont admit there is an issue even though you can search 2007 Sebring online and read all the numerous complaints about it.

I have had car for 2 years and car has been great until couple of months ago the car started to stall at stop lights every now and then. Then went to start the car on friday & no start. Towed to the shop. Started right up for the shop they sent the car back and said if it acted up again let them know. Drove the car all weekend no problems. My wife went to go to work Monday morning and the car wouldn't start. Towed it to the shop and they found the connector that connects to fuel pump shorted out and eventually shorted the fuel pump out.Hopefully this will help you all out that have had this problem.

Sebring Touring 2.4L I4

Purchased car 2007 Sebring used in August 2010. Ran fine until January 2011. Car stalled out on my wife for no reason while parking. Car started up fine. Ever since then the car has been stumbling and surging while turning, driving around bends, at stop signs, in some cases just plain going straight. I took it to dealership once to get the PCM reflashed. Problem still exists. Taking it back again next week. Very annoying and unsafe.

This is the first car I brought on my own. I had the car for almost two years, never encountered a problem until March of this year. I remember the recall for the car in 2008, Chrysler repaired the issue for free. I realized when it is cold outside that's when the car stalls the most. I took to the dealership; because the car is still under warranty, and I took it to a mechanic shop. Each place perfomed a diagnostic test on the car, and each time there were no codes (problems). The dealership claimed the car never shut off one time in their custody-um how convienant(?). What options do we have? How can we get out of this situation? I have another four years to pay and to deal with this sh*t!

My car keeps stalling when I come to stop light, if my radio is on I could not even tell that engine shuts off. then i hit a gas pedal and that's when i notice that engine is not running. all the electrical stuff still works (radio, lights, etc...) took this car to 3 different places and keep paying for diagnostics (no code comes up) and no one knows what the heck is going on. This car did have a recall back in 2008 for tire pressure monitor and that has been taken care of. s am tired of having these problems and no one had the solution. grrrrrrrr

2007 Chrysler Sebring stalls at stops and lurches forwards a few times a month. Car is under warranty and problem observed by dealership -- but they have no fix! Seems like a it's a crap shoot waiting until someone's Sebring hits a pedestrian because of the car lurching forwards at a busy intersection, but after reading other people's problems I guess that is a safe bet for Chrysler since this problem appears to have been going on for several years.

This car is the worst car that I have ever owned and that Is putting it in a nice way. The only thing worst then the car is then dealership that I have to deal with to try and get it fixed. I have owned it for less then 3 months and it has been to the shop over 5 times!!! From two leeks in the trunk to it dieing the middle off an intersection (with cars coming at me 55 mph in both directions!) It died the other day while I was driving it going 60mph. The car lost all its power the blinkers wouldn't work the steering wheel locked up ect. once I get it pulled over to the side of the road then it starts right back up. Its getting to the point that Im sorry that I ever spent the money on it. The dealership has no idea whats wrong with it. The act like im crazy when I bring it back in and tell me that they dont know how to fix something that they cant find. The power door locks wouldn't lock earlier today then after starting the car over again they worked! The brake light comes on every few days for no reason. To top it all off as if thats not enough, it feels like it has a case of the hiccups! I notice it mostly on the freeway at a study speed feels like its loosing power and like its going to die. I feel like this car is making me go crazy! I don't knoe whats wrong with it but I want to get it fixed before the warranty runs out! Help!!
