Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Was giving a 2000 Town and Country Chrysler van from a neighbor who said tranny went out on him. It was too nice just to scrap, so I took it home and went out and got a used transmission and replaced it. Now I am having nothing but problems. Got it all hooked up but sometimes when I shift into park sometimes it will go and other times it say's reverse when actually its in park. When I start it I have to rev the motor to make it engage in gear and soon as I let off, it slips out of gear again. Has anyone had or having this problem because I'm getting to the point where its pushing my patience to the end. There's always something else its like an endless money pit.

This wasn't the first time I had to replace a rebuilt transmission in a Chrysler. This transmission was rebuilt by a Chrysler dealer at 115,000 kms. I bought the van at 141,000kms. Maybe I'm a little jaded by the fact that this has been an ongoing issue with Chryslers, but I just wanted to remind anyone thinking of buying a Chrysler that they have no idea how to build a dependable, quality vehicle. So be prepared to spend lots of money if you buy a Chrysler.
