Going approx 50 mph on a Suburban highway with several stoplights, the accelerator seemingly "stuck", resulting in great difficulty slowing down. Stopping the car was not possible. Rpms were very high, and could not be lowered. Was only able to stop the car after shifting the car into neutral and gradually applying brakes, then turning the car off. Confirmed by tow-truck driver and Chrysler dealership service personnel that this is some sort of failure in the vehicle itself. They were also unable thus far to get the rpms to slow down. If you start the car now, even in park, the rpms immediately rev very high. The car is currently at the dealership undergoing diagnostic workup.
