CarComplaints.com Notes: Chances are you didn't want to have to buy a used minivan, but chances are you _also_ didn't realize how much stuff you need to travel with kids. When it comes to hauling around piles of diaper bags and coolers full of snacks, you could do worse than the 2004 Town & Country. Especially when you compare it to the 2005.

The contact owns a 2004 Town and country. While driving 35 mph the rotors overheated causing the brakes to fail. She took the vehicle to the garage twice for the failure and the mechanic replaced the rotors one time and the brake pads twice; however the failure was not corrected. The mechanic was unable to diagnose why the failure was not permanently corrected. She contacted the manufacturer and filed report 19248825. My Town and country has been in the repair shop approx. 11 times now. It has 20,000 miles on it. The first incident happened at about approx 3,000 miles into it, about 1 month old, it shuts off by itself. This progressivly got worse, it runs very rough and loses power while driving. The steering fluid has leaked twice, first time at 6,000 miles, approx 2-3 months old. Brakes replaced approx 15,000 squeal in belt. Odor in A/C.
