This minivan has problems ranging from rack and pinion steering failure to door locks that won't let you out. And trust me, you'll want to get out.

The front right passenger seat belt does not lock or click in place. I researched recall number 04V047000 and learned there were similar issues. Contacted the dealer and was told that there was no recall on my particular vehicle. This appears to be more of a manufacturer problem and a great safety risk. The dealer just took my info but offered no assistance.

- the contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that the sensor control module for the front air bags was not working and the sensor light turned on warning of a airbag malfunction. Also, the contact stated that the front driver's side seat belt was not tightening as it should. The contact replaced the front crash sensors, and the seat belt retractor. The contact believed that water entered the sensor assembly. The contact had the vehicle repaired, but believed that the work she had done should fall under a safety recall. The current and failure mileage were 59015 miles. Updated 03/30/07.
