Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Approximately six months ago I received a safety recall notice from Chrysler, L25/NHTSA 14V-373, advising that my car could unexpectedly switch from "run" to "accessory", causing the motor to shut off. This would result in loss of power steering, power brakes and the inactivation of the passive restraint systems including the airbags. The letter said the part to fix this potentially fatal problem was not available and I would be notified by mail when it was. Six months later and still no fix. Chrysler continues to introduce new cars, but just doesn't have the ability to fix my defective car. A call to the Chrysler group recall assistance center gets only a recording, reciting almost verbatim, the recall letter. Is my, or my wife's death or serious injury going to be the result of this totally unacceptable delay in correcting a know serious problem" it's a thought that is in my mind each time we start our van. Can we get some help before anything actually happen" updated 03/04/15.
