Consistent failure of the "Total Integrated Power Module" which controls so many items in the car such as windshield wipers, windshield defroster fan, exterior lighting systems, heater fan, the ability for the car to start, the horn may or may not sound and many other accessory related items. It is a very WELL KNOWN failure of these modules and they are basically un available blamed on the supply chain problems. As a result of these problems in this very well known module failure cars have become basically un-able to drive safely or not at all and sit in dealers service areas waiting for these modules to be replaced at the owners cost in most cases in excess of $1,000 for a part that is a known failure in design by Chrysler Corporation and their various owners (Mercedes Benz, Fiat, Stellantis) and others unknown at this time. This is against the Consumer Product Safety Commission as well as the National Highway Transportation Safety Commission to have so many defective modules that create unsafe conditions for the vehicle owners where they are concerned about their own safety as well as the safety of those they share the roads and highways with. I am along with many others asking you to look into this situation and find some kind of remedy to correct this ongoing problem for consumers and the safe operation of the vehicles that they operate on the roads of America as well as foreign countries.

January 1st in oshkosh Wisconsin while parked in driveway I warmed up our 2013 Chrysler Town & Country for 15 minutes and loaded up ready to go and turned on wipers and quickly noticed stuck to glass from ice so turned switch off. Broke loose from glass and retried wipers and poof they do not work. Checked all fuses & relays and tested wiper motor along with multi switch all good. Hooked my ansus FX4000 scanner to learn I have a tipm module problem. Next issue arouse three weeks later now automatic lights went out traveling in a snowstorm in evening & decided to further this issue. I will inform you's Chrysler is using electrical system that has many, many accessory and options all work on a ground based energizing system. Another way to put this is most all controls are positive energized at all times and body ground module sends signal to relays that complete ground circuits. Anyone with half a brain will realize this is a disaster waiting to catch fire at any given time or place and repeatedly fail. Why is it innocent working people need to die and go broke for dealerships knowingly ignore disasters. Call tipm rebuilders in California to educate your staff in recalling all scrap Chrysler nightmare electrical system has caused & destroyed good working people's pocket books for $1200 a pop to replace tipm module. Oh and dealers also tell everyone that reprograming is needed in replacing tipm module which in fact is a absolutely appalling lie.I hope to god someone wakes up an does the right thing.

Vehicle is 3 years old however we purchased it 1 year ago. We have had electrical issues multiple times since purchase. Dash lights will illuminate which include, electrical light, batter light, gas light, check engine light, tc light, and ABS light as well as wipers will run even though wipers are off. Dealer wants to hook us for $1000 repair.

Wipersand headlights came on by themselves and cycled about four times and then went off. We were driving down a smooth road, clear day, temperature was 80 degrees. Wiper and headlight switch were set at "auto". a few days later same thing happens. Take it to dealer and they state it's the tipm which is replaced for the first time. A month or so later, we are in a bad rain storm and the wipers (in auto) do not come on. When switched to manual, there is only the slow speed available. To shorten the story the van has been back to the dealer four times for the wiper/headlight problems plus a few other problems. It is again at the dealer for -you guessed it the wipers/headlight issue. The dealer is going to put in the fourth tipm in less than the two years (Oct 2013) we've owned it. I've been waiting over a week to get the van back and I'm told there is a nationwide shortage of tipms. Other maladies include the van being totally dead because the main power panel on the left wheel well was corroded. I too am waiting for the qtr window switches. I'm told there are two colors - green and blue. Chrysler has the green switches for lower level models. The high end vans need the blue switch.. if it was not for the stow & go seating feature we were going to by a Honda Odyssey. I feel ripped off after spending $39,000 for the vehicle.
