I purchased this van used in 2023, but this problem has been on going for years thebowner said. The van sliding door get stuck in open position on right side. There is a buzzing noise coming from lock mechanism in left sliding door when you open ANY door or press the unlock button. There is no recalls for this but it is a known problem. Issues with faulty 2013 chrysler town and country mini van are currently in lawsuit claims. Help fix this before it kills someone. I have 3 small children if the door opens while driving that puts us in danger.

The van has repeatedly (5 seperate times) stalled in the middle of driving. The electronics will remain on, but the power steering goes out and the van decelerates to a complete stop. When I try to start the van immediately after, the ignition turns over, but the engine does not start. After a period of 10-30 minutes the van will start up fine. We-??ve had the van to our mechanic and there are no codes. The first time it stalled in the middle of a 2 lane road, on a blind curve, with no shoulder to pull off on. The second time was on interstate 75. I now know when it happens to start searching for a safe place to pull off the road, however once it happens I am limited on the distance the van will travel before it stops. Depending on the seed I-??m traveling it-??s usually only a couple hundred feet.

I got my 2013 chrysler town and country of a local used car dealership. I-€™ve had it almost 2 years. The transmission is now going out. I-€™ve been told it-€™s probably a design flaw inside the transmission as so many other people are having the same problems with the 62te transmissions. It has 102,000 miles. I got it it when it had 90,000. There is no warranty.

Horn, and door locks activate randomly. Now vehicle will crank but not turn over. Research and troubleshooting confirms a bad TIPM which was recalled in other Dodge and Jeep vehicles, but not the Chrysler Town and Country.

I just bought the van while dropping off the kids 10-year-old and a nine-year-old at the schools drop off lane from the driver side rear sliding door while they were coming out of the door. The door closed on them. I had to stick my hand from the back of the drvers seat to stop and it was pushing against my hand.it this has happened three times, it appears that the door is not locking open when it-€™s commanded to open.

Door locks emit a loud, annoying "buzzer sound" when locking. The locking mechanism was inspected by a repair company. The cost to repair was more expensive than we cared to pay.

I-€™ve recently purchased this vehicle used, it had 117,000 miles when purchased. Twice in the month I have had it has it stalled out at high speeds on the interstate. Lost all power, no power steering, would not crank over. No warning lights of any potential issues prior to either instances. Not showing a check engine light after either. This could have been deadly for myself, my children. And any other driver on the road as we lost the ability to control the vehicle.

While I was driving, the head rest popped apart making an extremely loud noise and hitting me in the back of the head with a great amount of force. I thought I had been rear ended it was so hard. I-€™m in pain and lucky I had just pulled off the highway because I would have wrecked. Chrysler needs to do something about this. It was bad. Consumer had sore head and neck injuries. On multiple occasions while driving, the vehicle has simply powered itself off without warning. In addition to the engine cutting off, all interior features and lights also lose power. To restart the vehicle, you must remove the key from the ignition, put the car in park, and then put the key back in with your foot on the brake. This is incredibly dangerous. Diagnostic error codes do not capture the cause of the issue.

The van dies on me while driving. Not in idle, only while diving. The shop replaced alternator (I took in old alternator to get tested, all good). Van sill dies, shop thinks it's fuel pump. Been doing this over a month, thought it might be egr related but I've been told 2013 does not have egr. Please advise. It's not safe.

While driving my car it would just stall at 40+ mph and I would just roll to the side of the road. This has happened several times leaving me stranded until the engine could be restarted 30 T0 40 minutes later. I'm worried this could happen at anytime anywhere eventually leading to an accident. I am very concerned. I've been to Chrysler several times for fixes which did not correct this problem. They have no remedy at this point. I am very concerned!

Head rest on the driver's side popped open for no reason. I had just entered the car, closed the door, and the head rest popped open against my head. I see that this devise is part of the anti whip lash system in the event of a crash. But there was no accident and the car was stationary in a parking lot of a store.

My headrest on my wife's 2013 Town and country exploded while we were parked and inside the vehicle waiting on my son to come out of the hotel. It hit me so hard, I literally saw stars and it stunned me...I didn't really know what had happened...we were in lakeland when this happened at the lakeland convention center picking up our son who was participating in the state science fair. After the headrest, it took a little bit to get my senses back...after my son came out, we headed back towards home which was about hour and 15 min ride back.. I had my wife checking the internet to see what if what we had experienced had happened to others but we had no internet most of the drive..I took some medication for headache and neck, when I got home...spent time after arriving home and the next morning doing research to find that there had been multiple incidents of headrests exploding and people being hurt...I made an appointment with dr who prescribed some medication, the to chiropractor---been seeing him since that time..I have documents of visits up to this point. I spoke to Chrysler to begin with and they told me it wasn't there responsibility and I would have to pay to have replaced....I told them that I wasn't going to pay for it---I was given a number to speak with someone at Chrysler...they sent an independent person to do some diagnostics and testing and informed me that it was Chrysler fault and that they would pay to have headrests replaced. All I can say is that I can see how someone's neck can get broke. The impact was severe, enough to stun me and I am a big man--6/4 380 pounds--I thought that someone had hit us from behind it was so hard... I have been at chiropractor for over a year--different times as it would be bothering me...seems to be an ongoing issue--I hope that this issue can be addressed
