Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Vehicle fails to react when gas pedal pressed from a stop or just after vehicle is started, occurs at random and intermittently, dealership recommended switching out throttle body/throttle position sensor.

The contact owned a 2010 Dodge Avenger. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked and unoccupied when it unexpectedly ignited into flames. The fire department appeared on the scene the extinguish the fire. The contact was informed that the fire was electrical and originated underneath the dashboard. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a salvage facility. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileages were 34,200. Updated 08/01/11 updated 08/02/11
