CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2007 Dodge Caliber has all kinds of suspension problems at relatively low mileage: typically 40-50,000 miles.

The most commonly reported problems are with ball joints & control arms going bad. Tie rods & leaking struts are also reported failing in the same mileage range.

Unfortunately all the suspension problems means some owners only find out after they notice their tires are ruined.

We've given the 2007 Caliber our worst rating because these problems happen at such low mileage, & it involves a wide range of apparently defective parts. With most other cars, major suspension work is pretty rare under 50,000 miles.

It has been a real problem trying to keep the window defogged as the floors fill up with water under the carpet. At first it was leaking thru the sunroof light control pouring into the shifter, the leak has now subsided thru the light control but continues to fill the front and back floors with water when it rains, which is every day on the west coast. I have removed the carpet after having to to take half the interior panels off, what a royal pain in the ass. It turned into a lot of labor and still have no idea where the water is coming in. All seals are in excellent condition, windows up. I do have a sunroof, all seals and drains are clean and dry, it's a mystery.

After reading other complaints, I will never buy a Dodge in my lifetime. Thanks Doug.

Noticed that my car was leaking water from somewhere into my back right passenger floor and took it to the dealership to have a water test done. They informed me my car didn't leak and must have had water spilled in the floor. So I took the car home and the next big rain....water standing in the floor. This went on for about two months and I finally determined it was coming in around the door seal, so I bought some glue to fix the seal.

The next big rain no water. About two weeks later we had about a week solid of heavy rains in which my floor would have about a gallon of water standing in the floor. The door still leaks and no one can figure out where or why.....very frustrating!!!

The back passenger side has a puddle in it after rain. It doesn't matter if I am driving the vehicle or it is just sitting parked. It has also began getting the front passenger side wet. it also shorted out my radio. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with seals or window trim, this is a royal pain. My car stinks and the run is constantly wet, as it never has a chance to dry out. This is the worst car ever, I will never buy another Dodge product.
