Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated on an instermittent basis. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, but the dealer could not diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 10V008000 (air bags: Frontal: Sensor control module). The dealer advised the contact that the air bags sensor had failed and would need to be replaced. The dealer also stated that if the vehicle was involved in a crash, the air bags would not deploy upon impact as long as the light remained illuminated.
