6 speed manual transmission sticks in gear and creates a dangerous situation where vehicle cannot be downshifted when and does not have sufficient power to accelerate when needed. This seems to be worse when vehicle is fully warmed up. Vehicle now have 16,000 miles on it.

I was driving home on 4/17/15 in my 2011 Dodge Challenger when all the warning lights on the dash started flashing, the radio was going on and off, the lights went dim, but the scariest thing was the car suddenly lost all power, it was still running but it acted like it was on 2 cylinders, almost got rammed by the car behind me!! had car towed to dealer, will call them tomorrow.this is a very dangerous flaw in the system and will result in future loss of life if not corrected!!!!

Challenger 8-cyl

  • 14,000 miles
I bought my 2011 Challenger srt 8 used with just over 13,000 miles. I did a VIN check and found no issues with this car. I took the car to a dealership because I didn't think the rear end sounded right. The dealership installed rear axle dampeners under tsb 01-005-12. The dealership had my car for 30 days and when I got the car back it sounded about the same. I call the dealership and was told that the warranty on my vehicle was voided. The month before there was no issues with the warranty. I called Chrysler customer care and they had a hard time finding out why there was a warranty issue. They would later call me and state that only the rear axle was voided because it had been replaced 2 other times. I asked to have something put in writing on this and was told that Chrysler does not put things like this in writing. I wanted to know what was under warrant and what was not under warranty and why. Chrysler customer care took another month to come up with some type of an answer. This was after they repeatedly called me and asked what dealerships I had taken the car too because they could not find records of which dealership did the void on the warranty. I took the car to another dealership for a transmission issue and was told that the entire driveline warranty was voided. I was told that the transmission sink gears were worn because of the issues with the rear axle. My car now has 29,000 mile and needs a new rear axle and major transmission work. All this with no warranty and no proof of why there is no warranty.

My 2011 Dodge Challenger was in a head on accident. The impact push the motor under the dash, cracked the transmission, crumbled the front of the car almost to the windshield. The Challenger has an air bag on the seat, well that air bag; nor the air bag on the windshield pillar or the steering wheel or passenger air bag deploy. Not only did the air bags fail, but the seat belt did not lock to restrain a person from avoiding injury. This is my second Challenger, my first Challenger had a bad paint job and this one could of cost me my life. I have the vehicle, awaiting for Dodge to inspection the defects. It has been 5 days and I have yet to hear from Dodge nor are my calls being returned.
