Car shuts off at apporximately 45mph. Almost wreck and then flickers back to normal operating and drive home(5)minutes and park. Will not start back up. Towed the car to a Dodge dealer who replaced the alternator recall and tells me to pick it up. I go pick it up and now it will not change gears, over heats in dealership parking lot and fans will not operate. Dealer keeps car and says it's a bad water pump and thermostat. At this point I do not trust dealer and replace the water pump, thermostat, idler pulley, temp sensor, belt tensioner myself. Start car and sounds great but overheats again. Now will not start at all. I see many many complaints about this and Dodge does nothign because it is out of warranty. Note to self....goverment still not protecting the little guy. Side note....will never buy another Dodge!

"?" what can I do when a dealer service dept. Lie about replacement due to recall. On 01/04/18 my Dodge Challenger was tow to the dealer, alternator & batt were replaced. I ask if the air bags could be replace due to another recall, I was told yes. Picked up the car on 1/08/18 ask about the A/bs and was told yes. 6 months later (O/a 6/7/18) when I filed the paper work away I notice nothing about the A/B. went back to the dealer and was told by another advisor that it could not have been installed because that they just got the A/bs that week. That the lie. That lie could of resulted in someone's death. Place advise.

The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Challenger. While at a stop, the contact's vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was damaged and towed by the insurance company to an independent auto body shop in pittsburgh, California. The body damage was repaired. A few days later, while driving approximately 72 mph, the vehicle shut down and several indicators illuminated on the instrument panel, including the seat belt, air bag, and check engine. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic who referred the contact to antioch Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (925-778-9700, located at 1810 auto center dr, antioch, ca 94509) where it was diagnosed that the wiring inside the driver's door was not connected, causing the contact to use the remote to unlock the vehicle. The technician replaced the wire and the contact was able to utilize the push button to unlock the vehicle; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 56,931.

I have a 2014 Dodge Challenger. I was driving and made a left hand turn and then my ABS came on and now I cant use my cruse control and I cant turn the traction control off or on. Call Dodge and they are telling me it is a clock spring in the steering column and the price is $589 and the labor will be about $300. I think that's is a bad part to put in a car.

I was involved in a car crash where I did not have time to apply the breaks before hitting another car. The car made a sudden left turn in front of me and I T-boned the car at a rate of about 45mph. At he time of the crash my airbags did not deploy, so I contacted Chrysler about this, and the sent a investigator to look at my car. In a letter they said, the conclusion of the investigation is that the rate of deceleration necessary to activate the air bag system was not present during the accident. How much damage do you have to do to the front of a Challenger in a crash for the airbags to work. There is over $12000 in damage to my car, not to mention the thousands of dollars in medical bills I have along with thousands of dollars in lost wages. I no longer feel safe driving this car once it is repaired, and no longer want to own a Chrysler product.
