Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the engine started without the starter key being locked into the ignition. The contact was able to drive the vehicle without the starter key. In order to stop the vehicle, the contact would insert the starter key and turn it towards the off position. The starter key failed to lock into the ignition in order to remain inserted. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 131,000.
