The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Charger. While driving 35 mph, the contact was cut off by another vehicle. As a result, the contact clipped the rear of the other vehicle and lost control of his vehicle. The contact was able to regain control of the vehicle, but crashed into two parked vehicles. The front end of the contact's vehicle was damaged. The driver's side air bag failed to deploy and the seat belt failed to restrain the driver. The contact was dazed, but neither he nor the other driver were injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was contacted and a representative was sent to retrieve the data from the electronic data recorder. The contact was informed that there was no malfunction found for the air bag and seat belt. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 65,000. Updated 10/2/18
