Only had the vehicle about 3 or 4 months from new, and the catalytic converter blew out. Replaced under warranty. After two tries. Since then, I've replaced it, at my own cost, about 3 times. I'm only on my third muffler/exhaust system, on a 9-year old vehicle, but the 5th catalytic converter. It seems that the aluminum cover comes loose, then falls off, and then the actual c/c blowing out is only a couple of months after that. Which will be soon - the cover fell off, again, about 3 weeks ago. Is this an intentional manufacturer's defect, maybe?
