The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Dakota. The contact stated that fuel would escape from the filler pipe when he attempted to refuel the vehicle. The mechanic stated that the inlet check valve failed. As of September 27, 2007, the dealer had not inspected or repaired the vehicle. There was a recall for the 2005 Dodge durango for the fuel system filler pipe and cap (NHTSA campaign id number 05V034000). The contact felt that his vehicle should have been included in the recall. The failure mileage was 14,900 and current mileage was 15,211. Updated 01-15-08. Updated 12/12/07.
