I had trouble on an icy corner and my brakes/tires seemed to perform very poorly. My speed was about 30km/hr, but my wheels locked and I bumped a curb (alloy wheel replaced $500). I asked for a brake check/road test ($30) and the report was "brakes fine". The next day, I almost was in a major collision when my brakes failed. Luckily I had a manual transmission and I was able to quickly use engine speed to gear down. Brought car back to dealer and they said one front and one rear brake pad had fallen off and were missing from the car. Incredible that components such as this would fall off, that a brake mechanic stated they are fine and that the next day the parts are missing, but even more incredible was that I was still under warranty and Dodge said to me that brakes are normal wear and tear and not covered. Yeah. That was my last Chrysler product and I refuse to recommend to any one to buy in my town because (other minor lemon issues) could not be fixed by various dealers in town. My one consolation is they spend hundreds of dollars renting me replacement vehicles in the first two months as they tried to figure out why only my high beams worked (yeah...spite and karma feel good!).
