It has steadily gotten worse over the last few years. A grinding noise in the front end like a bearing(s) gone bad (changes frequency with speed).Front drive train bad bearings or u-joints (4wd), I thought it was the wheel bearing so ordered a new one and (after finally getting the old one off) found out that it wasn't either of them. So I think it is in one or both of the front drive shafts from the front gear box to the wheels. I am overseas so it is much more difficult/expensive to get checked/fixed. I would just order new parts but the shafts themselves are $1000 a piece just for the parts - and I'm not even sure they are the culprit. Anyone have this problem or similar?
