THIS IS B. S.!!!!! THIS MIGHT COST ME MY JOB, MY HOME, MY KIDS ATTENDANCE IN SCHOOL, AND SO ON. I OVERLY SERVICED MY DURANGO (i. e. CHANGED OIL EVERY 1,500 MI WITH SYNTHETIC MOBILE ONE AND A FULL SERVICE USUALLY AS WELL). I AM WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME FRAME AND THE ALLOTTED MILLAGE ON MY CAR WARRANTY AND JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT WARRANTY COMPANY IS NOT COVERING IT!!!. ALSO, THE DEALERSHIP WHERE MY DURANGO IS ORIGINALLY GAVE ME A BID OF $17OO. OO. TO FIX. THIS BID WAS GIVEN TO ME AFTER THEY TOOK APART THE ENGINE. WHEN THEY FOUND OUT THE COMPANY WASN'T GOING TO PAY I RECEIVED A NEW QUOTE. THE REVISION PRICE IS $8,295. OO!!!!!!!! ARE THEY INSANE!?! THATS NOT WHAT GETS ME THE MOST EITHER. THEY SAID THAT IT WAS "MY FAULT", MY FAULT THAT SOME CHEMICAL ATE AWAY MY ENGINE AND INTO THE HEAD GASKET SO I HAD H2O IN MY OIL. BBBSSSS!!!!!! ON A 32 F. NIGHT WE WENT TO DINNER. THE HEATER AND CAR WERE FINE. ON WAY HOME, THE HEATER WASN'T WORKING AND CAR WAS GETTING A LITTLE HOT. A LITTLE. AND NOT RAPIDLY. I AM VERY ATTENTIVE TO MY VEHICLES. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT AS FAR AS RUNNING RIGHT IS CONCERNED. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS, IT WAS GETTING HOT. WELL WHEN I CHECKED IT OUT AND FOUND MY "OIL MILKSHAKE" I KNEW NOT TO START IT FROM THAT POINT ON. I TOWED IT TO DEALER AND THE FLATBED DRIVER LEFT IT PRECARIOUSLY IN THE BACK LOT. I HAD THIS BAD FEELING THAT SOMETHING WAS GOING TO GO WRONG WHEN THE SERVICE WRITER WENT TO MOVE IT AND ATTEMPTED TO START IT TO MOVE IT. I STOPPED HIM. AND INFORMED HIM THAT THIS MIGHT ONLY BE A HEAD GASKET. IF HE STARTED IT IT COULD BE MUCH MORE. AND THE CAR RAN PERFECTLY ON MY WAY HOME FROM DINNER 1.4 MILES AWAY. SO, DON'T MESS WITH IT. LET THE MECHANIC LOOK AT IT.. IN HIS RECKLESS ATTEMPTING TO MOVE MY CAR UNDER ITS OWN POWER, TELLS ME HE WAS GOING TO GIVE ME THE SHAFT FROM THE GET GO. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE ARRESTED!! THEY RUIN LIVES!!! WHAT AM I GOING TO TELL 92 Y. O . AUNT GERI WHEN SHE WANTS TO GO FOR A DRIVE AND SEE THE SPRING FLOWERS? SHE MAY NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN. I AM A CAREGIVER AND HAVE 5 KIDS. AND LIVE IN ONE OF THE HOTTEST PLACES ON THE PLANET. PALM SPRINGS, CA. NEEDLESS TO SAY "I NEED A RELIABLE TRANSPORT". I THOUGHT THE DURANGO WAS THE ANSWER. WITH THE 2 A/C'S, 7 SEATS, ETC. NOW THE DEALERSHIP TELLS ME, AS WITH SOME OF YOU, THAT "IT'S A TOTAL". AND IT IS ALL MY FAULT!!!! THATS WHAT GETS ME THE MOST. ITS THERE ATTEMPT AT MAKING ME OUT A LIAR!!!! I AM A TEACHER OF GOOD VALUES AND RESPECT TO MY CHILDREN AND MOST OF ALL NOT TO LIE. THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE ONE WORD I TOLD THEM WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. THAT IS A SLAP IN THE FACE AND MAYBE AN INADVERTENT DEATH SENTENCE. WE ARE COMING INTO SUMMER AND YOU CAN'T EVEN WALK 1 MILE WHEN ITS 125 F. OUTSIDE WITH NO SHADE. I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT SOME PLAN OF ACTION BUT, BUT, I WILL STAND WITH ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TAKE ACTION. IF WE ALL STAND TOGETHER MAYBE, JUST MAYBE WE WILL GET THE RESPECT WE DESERVE, REIMBURSEMENT, AND A LITTLE ACTION AGAINST THESE UNSCRUPULOUS CRIMINALS. AND BYE THE WAY YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM MY FIRST DODGE RAM 1500 1994 TRUCK. SIMILAR STORY, ANOTHER TIME. IN READING OTHER PEOPLES STORIES, PUTS ME A LITTLE AT EASE, THANX.
