(reported on)Durango SLT
There has been a TSB (technical service bulletin) issued on my 2002 Dodge Durango on the clicking noise coming from the steering column. This will only sound when the steering wheel is being turned. I never knew about this TSB issued and had I known, I would have had it replaced before my warranty was over at 35,000 miles. I have sent an email and called Daimler/Chrysler and they could not explain to me why I should pay for the replacement of the lower steering column on a 4-year old vehicle. This is not normal wear and tear on a vehicle. This is a defect in their product. The company could not explain why I had to pay for this repair other than it is no longer under warranty for this and could not help me with the repair. Please do not ever buy a Dodge/Chrysler product. They are not worth it. Before you buy a vehicle, check for any TSBs on the internet. I am not finished filing complaints about this.
