Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Durango. The contact was traveling in inclement weather when the headlights and instrument panel lights failed. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility for diagnosis. The mechanic advised that the failure was caused by the ctm. The contact inquired with the manufacturer about NHTSA campaign id number: 02V322000 (exterior lighting: Headlights: Switch) but was advised his VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer would not provide any further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 51,000.

The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Durango. The contact stated when he started the vehicle he noticed that his headlights and the dash board lights failed. He contact the manufacturer, the manufacturer stated his VIN was not included in recall 02V322000 exterior lighting: Headlights: Switch therefore they will not assist. The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Durango. While driving in the rain the contact attempted to activate the front and rear windshield wipers, but they failed to operate. The dashboard lights failed approximately three weeks later. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice and the dealer stated that the failure could be electrical. There was recall # 07V092000 concerning electrical system: Instrument panel, but theis vehicle was excluded. The windshield wipers and dashboard lights were still inoperable. The current mileage is 40,350, and failure mileage was 36,000.
