Daily key or the "new" 2nd key act the same...not turning when plunged into the ignition switch. Banging of the wheel, hitting the brake, slipping the key in and out, applying silicone spray, and calling the garage doesn't help. However the dealer service department admits to a common problem of faulty key switches on the Durango. Leave it for the day (@ about $75/hr) and an experienced technician will be electronically scheduled to review the fault. I remember the last problem - a blown radiator hose took a five hour wait for such expertise...and an engine mess they agreed to clean. No thanks, I'll take my chances on snipping some wires.
