Again, after changing all the sensors that the diagnostic report suggested, I again had this vehicle stall during 5:00 rush hour traffic. Lost power then died. Tried to start turned over but wouldn't start. After 3 hour I said to hell with it and pushed it to safe place and got a ride home. This problem occurs randomly without any warning. Not safe at all.

Durango 4WD 4.2L

Went out to get in vehicle and hit the unlock button on wireless key entry, doors would not unlock, had to manually unlock door. Tried to unlock passenger doors with button on drivers door, but that wouldn't work either. Windows would not roll down from any door except drivers door control. Started vehicle and the engine light, service 4wd light and door ajar lights came on. (all doors where checked and closed completely). Drove vehicle on to town and door ajar light went off on its own, engine light stayed on and the service 4wd light eventually went off on its own, but when I startedback home and started the vehicle only the engine light was on. While driving home, hit a bump in the road and the service 4wd light came on.

Took to repair shop, they checked the entire electrical system but couldn't find anything. Mechanic told me that they had two other durangos i for similiar problems and that if the battery was ever replaced it could cause these problems along with even having problems with the vehicle not wanting to start or not idling and would go dead. (lord and behold, very next morning went out to start vehicle and it would start and then good dead, wouldnt idle.) gave up and drove other vehicle. Next day or so, no problems at all. everything worked great. next day same on sh*t agian.
