Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Durango slt. The contact stated that the headlights failed and would flicker on and off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who performed a diagnostic that located the failure at the headlight timing module. The manufacturer advised the contact that the failure was not recalled and denied assistance with the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 110,000 and the current mileage was 130,000.

- the contact owns a 2003 Dodge Durango with a current and failure mileage of 34,500. The contact was driving at 60 mph under normal dry conditions when the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that when the stalling occurred all of the instrument panel lights turned on, and the door chime started to buzz. The contact was able to pull to the side of the road without a crash. Since the stalling the windows failed, they did not go up or down, the windshield wipers and headlights worked intermittently. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, and the dealer could not tell them why the failure occurred.
