2004 DODGE DURANGO -- Sabersport is recalling 16,270 combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies of various part numbers sold for use as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles. These headlamps fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard no. 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, And Associated Equipment." These lamps do not contain the required amber side reflectors.

Decreased lighting visibility may result in a vehicle crash.

2004 DODGE DURANGO -- On certain sport utility vehicles built with a 5.7L, 4.7L, or 3.7L engine, the positive battery cable may contact the front suspension upper control arm mounting bracket.

This contact could abrade the cable and cause a short circuit, which may result in an underhood fire.

Dealers will inspect the battery cable and, if necessary, reposition it away from the control arm mounting bracket. The recall began December 14, 2004.
