The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while refueling, gasoline began spewing from the filler neck and the fuel pump would not shut off. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for inspection. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that there were no recalls for the vehicle. The failure mileage was 62,000. Updated 3/20/13 the consumer stated within two seconds of the automatic shut off of the fuel nozzle, gas spewed back out of the filler opening with the nozzle still inserted.
