Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

2006 Dodge Durango, 6,000 miles on vehicle. Vehicle has had rust covering the power steering pump for about 4 months. Dealer (mcbrayer Chrysler, aberdeen N.C.) notified of problem at 3,000 miles. Service manager made a note of problem and stated that he would change pump but he didn"T have part in stock. Contacted same dealer at 6,000 miles for recall on electrical and inquired about also changing power steering pump when doing recall repair. Dealer stated that the rusted power steering pump would not be covered by warranty.
