Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. While driving at 40 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but the seat belt failed to retract. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle crashed into another vehicle and the air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and the contact sustained an injury that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 26,000...updated 09-24-14 the consumer stated the airbag and the shoulder restraint both failed. This caused the consumer's face to hit the steering wheel resulting in a fractured. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was notified and inspected the vehicle. Updated 02/24/2015
