Ok my Dodge Durango 2014 v6 auto transmission was jerking and noticed leaking transmission fluid, so we had it checked out by my mechanic. He said your transmission is going? I could believe it, we just got to 80,000 miles on the vehicle. I took the car to another mechanic, this guy is a transmission expert, sure enough, yes, the transmission is going. The repair, best he can do on a re-built would be cost me $2,200 , new would be around $5,000. Merry X-Mas.......

I can tell you this will be my last Dodge, that I will buy, oh did I mention we have had four recalls on this model!!! From electrical to brake issues. We called Dodge Corp/ a local dealership as well, no help with this repair coming our way. Be warned Dodge, has had over the years a lot of issues, mostly engine and transmission, I'm just another person who SHOULD have not purchased a Dodge.....

Problem reported at Steering control recall. ECU reprogrammed and the car shifted fine for about a week. Problem is back and worse than ever, It appears to upshift through lower gears too fast and bogs down. The shifts are jerky and not smooth at all. Talked to a trans guy during a visit for a problem on another vehicle, He says he's hearing a lot of complaints about these transmissions. Don't let it go. Get it documented, get it fixed as many times as it takes, and make them address the problem. It's all in the software.
