problem #2

Feb 072009

Grand Caravan SE 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 112,045 miles

This problem occurred right after going thru the car wash; with undercarriage wash.No dash lights, radio, daytime headlights, or power windows......until ignition is turned off or in the accessory position.

This is on top of an already existing problem where the transmission downshifts into 2nd

and will not shift back into 3rd or overdrive. Engine light is on. If I shut off the engine for 1 minute it will reset itself and may work properly, temporarily. It also seems to be a problem of moisture. I have cleaned and dried the plug on the transmission (TCM) with temporary success. This problem came back worse than before after going thru the car wash.

Grand Caravan Sport

  • 56,000 miles

When power accessories come back on the vehicle jerks into gear at low speeds and slams into gear at high speeds, dropping from 100km to 60 km's in a millisecond. So far during their attempted scam, I mean fix, they've blamed it on corroded wires, ignition, PDC, computer, loose wiring and next step is the front control module, supposedly.
