It's bad enough to be stuck with a stupid mini-spare as a full size spare is not an option- but imagine a cold rainy night with a flat tire and the stupid spare won't drop down after you follow the manual's incorrect* instructions (so you can then get on your knees in the wet & darkness to try to drag the piece of crap out and install it so you can limp home ...)
* the instructions say 33 turns (yes, thirty three!!) to release the spare using some two bit wrench that's supplied; you finally determine it's a typo & must mean three decimal three (3.3); now why not say APPROXIMATELY three and a third (3 1/3) turns? Who writes this crap?
So it won't drop down and you get towed home and the next morning you peer under the vehicle- yep, there's the spare tire holder. You give it a kick, and presto! It drops down. But you still can't get it far enough down to release the stupid spare! And guess what? IT WON"T GO BACK UP EITHER! So it's off to the dealer- but it's Easter weekend. Your planned trip to the cottage is toast! What twit of an engineer designed this garbage???
