We noticed that the airbag light was on so we brought it in to the local dealer for repair. The mechanic called us and told us the two of the airbag sensors and the wiring harnesses were badly corroded and needed to be replaced. He then told us that this was NOT covered by our Chrysler Added Care Plus 7/70 extended warranty. He also mentioned that he would add dielectric grease so this would never happen again. Looking through the warranty documents, I noticed that it mentioned that all wiring harness were covered. I called the warranty center and they confirmed that this problem is the result of the "Act of God"; therefore it is not covered by the warranty. Since when does God spread salt on the roads? Apparently these warranties are only covering manufacture defects. IMO, not adding dielectric grease to the wiring harnesses in the first place is a defect. I can't wait for the other sensors/wiring harnesses to fail as well.

This is the second time this sensor has come on for no apparent reason. The first time was when the van was only 6month old. Dealer told me they just had to resent the sensor and then 5 minutes after leaving the lot, the sensor was back on. I took the van back right away and they replaced the sensor but it was under warranty. I'm sure it won't be this time:(

airbag sensor light, 3rd time in the shop. the first 2 times they said it was the air bag sensor, this time they said it was the clock sensor and it was finally out of warranty so I had to pay 250.00. I would personally like to thank Daimler Chrysler with a big f@**you.
