Vehicle stalled on short trip through neighborhood driving at local speed. We took the vehicle to a repair shop for inspection/repair and nothing was found. We have since experienced multiple stalls during low-speed driving scenarios and had the vehicle looked at again with no findings (throttle-body was cleaned). We have most recently experienced a complete non start of the vehicle (no turnover, no dash lights, etc.), tried to start multiple times and nothing, waited a half-hour and it started. Similar non starts have happened (estimate 1 to 3 times a year) since we purchased the vehicle in 2008 but it has always started within a short period of time, we've shrugged it off due to infrequency and lack of gravity of the situations (e.g. sitting in garage).

We had problems with the car not wanting to start after being turned off and turning itself off while driving the van. The dash area where the stereo, clock, dvd player and etc. Turns its self off. The rear doors do not power operate. The air bag lite is on all the time.the rear window wash button washes the front window. We had this vehicle in the shop a lot they could not find the problem. We bought this van because we have small grandchildren ride with us all the time but with all the problems I would not buy or recommend this vehicle to anyone.

My wife was outside of our house without the van keys and the horn started blaring and the wiper pump started spraying fluid. The wipers were shuttering. Several days prior the headlights stopped working. I disassembled the tipm and reassembled it to restore the headlights. I had hoped that I wouldn't see the headlight flashing/horn/wipers/wiper fluid spraying behavior again but it followed my investigation of the tipm. I have one on order - this is a safety issue, I've read that this can happen while driving and the van can shutoff while driving. I called Dodge who referred me to their service department who wants payment to diagnose this known problem with the tipm. I've heard that there is a class action lawsuit for this problem as well.

This was a factory recall. I received a notice and called the dealer and was told the part was not available yet. 1/21/15 went to dealer & was told they were already out of the parts. Went back 3/16/15. Part was installed. This caused the complete electrical system to fail. Returned to dealer and they removed part & electrical system returned to normal. They gave the part to us. I am not sure how to resolve this problem. The dealer said they had problems with what the factory had sent to fix the problem. I would like to get the problem resolved. My families safety is very important to us. I feel that there has been ample time to get this problem fixed. I would like to hear how this problem can be repaired professionally without causing further problems. Dangerous to drive dangerous to park in garage. Day 1: wipers, horn went on at 55 mph. After 5 miles it stopped. Next day everything was dead. Battery replaced. Next day, horn/wipers go on when engine is started. Eventually stopped. Mechanic pulled horn fuse. Day 3 : early am opened door, windshield wipers go on and stay on. I start car (big mistake), now I can not put car in gear, can not turn off engine or wipers. I just let it run, very dangerous in an attached garage, I was afraid to open hood or attempt to disconnect battery in a running car, eventually engine shut itself off, later wipers went off. I fear gassing my family or burning us down if it starts in the night. What more will happen if I drive it ? a few years ago, on highway, warning lights came on and engine stopped and vehicle was totally inoperable towed to Dodge, they replaced a computer module (warranty). Now I read it may be a very costly computer module again and that I am in danger.

A need a recall on tipm part which controls the engine which turns it on and off. Now a recall is due>becauase it is the issue with vehicle because now the ealerships are saying it is the issue or what is causing it to turn off.as a Dodge owner of a Grand Caravan, from the time I brought the vehicle there were issues. First it started with the vehicle turning itself off and did start back. So the dealership fix it. Then it was the brakes and rotors on the front end. Fix, repair, issues again, then issues again. So many other issues with this van later on. But I decided not to complain to Dodge company.. boy do I regret it now..it's been almost 4 years now, I still have issues with the engine cutting off while driving. This has gone on for awhile, then recall come out saying it's the engine switch, so now we are waiting on the it, still... when I have did some research and ask some people with computer knowledge on vehicles and they say by the engine cutting off while driving can cause issues with the tipm part (computer). I have taken it so many times to the dealership for this reason for the engine shutting it self off, they would brush it off it's the battery, got new battery then it happen again. Then took it back again, no engine light on, then they can't diagnose any issues. Now warranty is out.. still no part for the recall engine switch.... 2015. Now that the engine is still shutting it self off, dealership is now saying its the tipm part which is 1200. Or more... I believe it has been the issue the whole time, so Dodge needs to have a recall on this part before someone is kill... I worry about it happening to my family.I have three children. It's our only vehicle.. as of today still no part available.call Dodge - no help from them. They need to have a recall on the tipm part before its to late.

(I do have the 2nd incident recorded on my daughters cell phone. However, turning off of SR795 onto main street coming home from work - my wipers began to work on their own, as well as the message light center - all started blinking rapidly, and my seat belt sound was continuously beeping. Then last week as we were going on the expressway (280-75-475) my speedometer would jump from 60 down to 0 back up - continuously, while my wipers were going, all the message indicator lights were blinking, as well as my window would not (still don't) work nor can I lock/unlock my van from the drivers side. The incident on the expressway, incident #2 - is the one I have recorded. I phoned grogantown Chrysler - and was informed they were never sent the L25 part that is recalled. My complaint is this: If my van is a 2008, the original recall was in 2011, how can a dealer put the van back on the lot for sale if the recall has not been addressed or fixed. Insane - and an inconvenience - I was told I could drive it til rouen (which is closer to me) can do a diagnostic test on May 26th. What happens if it is indeed the L25 recall and myself or my kids are injured in an accident cuz Chrysler corporation has not made this part available.
