When I stop the van, put it in park & shut it off, the key is stuck in the acc position and will not move to the off position. In order to get the key to release, I have to start the car multiple times, move the shift in & out of park, move the steering wheel and eventually I will hear a "clicking" noise and the key releases and will then move into the off position. I contacted Chrysler and asked if this could have anything to do with the current recall for the ignition switch and was told no. Has anybody else experienced this problem?

We bought this van new in April of 2008 and in August 2008 and with 16,000 miles I had to replace the brake rotors pads and one caliper. Then two months later I had to replace the rear brakes which included the rotors, pads, and calipers. In late 2009 I have to replace both front and back brake systems do to failure. Now it is September of 2014 and after replacing the brakes on both front and back axles 5 times there needing to be replaced again. I have taken the van to our local Dodge dealer and was told it's just hard driving. I had to replace the rear evaporator at 89,000 along with rubber heater lines that you can only buy as a set at over $120. Now the right rear door can only be opened from the inside and the door locks only work sometimes. Went out 09-17-14 to move the van to my garage to work on it and all of the lights went out and the horn went off along with the wipers and wiper fluid pump. How long before someone is killed before they fix these issues. This is my last Chrysler product after owning 5 good ones. This is do to there inability or negligence in fixing these problems.

The wireless ignition node(win) module may have unintentional movement of the frequency operated button ignition key (fobik) from the on to the accessory position while driving. The manufacturer recall number :L25, the NHTSA recall number:11V-139. Well my vehicle shut down, had it towed to the dealership where it was purchased(murphy Ford, 1130 township line rd, chester pa 19013) on Friday, September 5, 2014 around 3pm. Call from them saying it would have to be taken to a Dodge dealership(18014 us 202, glen mills pa 19342). Call from this dealership on September 9, 2014. The part number for repairs to my vehicle is 689241069aa. I don't understand why this is not covered under the recall. This problem caused my car not to start and it locked in gear, locked the steering wheel, and locked all windows.

We were pulling out of the parking lot and after a couple hundred of yards the vehicle just turned off without warning and all control was lost. Although there was no accident we were alarmed because what if there was a car immediately behind us. After that incident this problem has occurred several times which I think is a safety issue. I hope this will be addressed by the manufacturer.

The van completely shut down while I was in the middle of making a U turn. The engine, the electrical just stopped working and the steering wheel got really tight but I was able to glide to the side of the road. I turned the key to the off position put the van in park and then I was able to restart it. I took it to Dodge and they repaired the power steering saying that was the problem. Not so, this has happened 3 times since the first and nothing has been done to repair the problem. Today is 8/29/2014 and I am stranded because it won't turn on at all. Waiting for aaa.

This is the third time this has happened and it is unbelievable that there has not been a recall on all of these systems. I own a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan and originally reported an issue over a year ago with the car losing control of all functions I.e. windshield wiper running and spraying, horn blaring, locks locking and unlocking, lights flashing etc. It has since happened again twice in the past month. Does it take someone having to die to have this recall happen. It has been documented time and time again on thousands of vehicles.

I have noticed that the rear A/C blows hot air while it is set on the A/C position. At that time my kids; 2 years old, 5 years old where apparently sweating and did not know it was not normal while the 12 years old kept repeatedly saying it is warm here at the back. I inspected why it is warm and noticed that the rear ac blows warm air on A/C position while the front A/C is blowing cold air. First, I thought it is the rear A/C blend door but it is the "expansion valve" it has visible corrosion and it is located under the rear right wheel fender where it is subjected to dirt, salt and road debris...I think Dodge/Chrysler needs to fix these design issue since this could be a fatal issue if I did not know it and the older kid never complaint about it. Since then, I have only used the front ac and Chrysler charge a fortune to correct the issue. This is very dangerous situation if you are traveling on a long drive. It is the equivalent of leaving your child in a hot car on a warm days of summer specially in July. I hope we can consider this to be a recall.
