The vehicle was diagnosed again and the contact was informed that the steering angle sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer stated that there were no recalls associated with the failure and the vehicle would have to be repaired at the owner's expense. The approximate failure mileage was 149,000.
