Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Grand Caravan

  • 95,501 miles
The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. While driving approximately 45 mph, the traction control sensor light suddenly illuminated and the vehicle would not respond when the accelerator pedal was depressed. After turning the vehicle off and restarting the engine, the vehicle resumed normal operation. The contact also indicated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer and the recall remedy for NHTSA campaign number: 14V373000 (electrical systems) was performed to replace the ignition switch. After replacing the switch, several electrical systems in the vehicle suddenly shut off, including the door locks, power windows, power brakes, and power steering. While examining the vehicle, it was determined that the electrical systems would shut off but the engine would continue to operate if the ignition key was rotated slightly too far. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,501.
