I will come up to a stop, and as the transmission is downshifting, I will suddenly feel and here a loud clunk, and sure as hell, the trans is stuck in low gear!!! If i'm close to home not to bad, if far away, it has taken hours to crawl home without over-reving the engine! I discovered if I turn off the car, and wait an undetermined length of time, the problem miracuously fixes itself! Since the car only has 61,000 miles on it, I think this is a factory defect, and dodge should have the decency to own-up to it, and have a recall!! I have talked to other intrepid owners, and I'm not the only one with this problem. Since it is an intermittent problem, I'm very reluctant to take the car any long distance, which makes the car very unreliable! If anyone can help me with a solution to this problem, I will be most grateful!!!
