The traction control lights stay on as well as the ABS system, and the car goes into limp mode at regular speed and good driving conditions I took the car to the dealer and they said that the alternator was causing the problem, the alternator was only 3 months old and a brand new battery, but I replaced the alternator again and still have the same problem. I paid the dealer 170$ for the diagnostics and it did not solve my problem now if I go back they will want to soak me for more money

This issue with the throttle position sensor has been going on for me, since I bought the car from dealership last year 2019. Has happened 3 times. I can drive and the car stalls, loses it power to drive, car shakes with acceleration. Had to have the dealer clear code once in July 2019, so didnt have the car for 6 months yet. Then it happened earlier this year and then it happened July 2020. Everytime this goes bad I take it in and they reset the sensor..I feel this is a safety issue especially with it reoccurring and I have two little children K drive around. It happens out of nowhere and its my first new car and thos is a saftey habit. Im afraid to travel to see family on the East coast. The thunderbolt light will start flashes and car loses its acceleration. The engine light came on as well. The traction tire light also turns off. Car does not gain acceleration and shakes. This is an ongoing issue with my Dodge and othwr reviews.

So when I am driving down the street or on the freeway at an accelerated rate and then I start to push on the brakes to slow down to either come to a stoplight or an exit of the freeway and to either turn left or right the car will cut off but also stay on the engine completely cuts off and the steering wheel locks but the radio the air conditioner everything else stays on inside the car the ignition it self stays on 'run' it's a push start. I then have to put my car in park and turn off then back on and hope it doesn't happen again, but it does

The car loses power unexpectedly while driving at various different speeds or sometimes just won't start after driving but if U wait twenty minutes it might just decide to restart, the ac sometimes will only blow out very hot heat, the cruise control won't turn off and has accelerated from being set at 55 to 75 on its own without being able to turn off, it has went into limp mode at several different speeds and in 2018 wouldn't turn off from in the run position in a result of a completely drained battery and was told engine needed to be replaced which I had replaced, the catalytic converter completely disconnected from the front which I also had replaced, wheel bearings bad costing numerous tire changes since purchasing it in 2013 until someone finally told me in 2020 what was wrong only at the cost of several tires and a wheel alignment, the stability warning light comes on and turns off randomly but if I try to push the button it won't turn it back on or off and the throttle control light comes on and car goes into limp mode drives like this for a day then can go days or months with all warning lights turning off and car runs just fine until it decides to do anyone one of these problems! I have told the dealership that the vehicle has a malfunctioning computer since purchasing it in 2013! the vehicle is unsafe lemon! it has caused me anxiety, and repeated traumatic events of almost getting into an accident or being left stranded for hours! I go into a store and I panic never knowing if the vehicle will start or decide to act possessed!" I recently went to a Dodge dealership to get the safety recalls done on the vehicle and Dodge has informed me they will not do the recalls because I have replaced the engine! the safety recalls must be done and if they can't do it then they need to provide me w a new vehicle free of charge or give me the money back I paid!

Past 2-3 years whenever it rains ABS and ESC light come on and brakes fail to work properly. Once quits raining, after no more than 24-48 hours lights go off and everything functions fine until rains again. Recently there was no rain from January to mid June and I traveled from Florida to Ohio and back with no problem. Then it rained, ABS and ESC back on. Vehicle was recalled Dodge #R61 for this exact issue and the dealer stated performed recall. That did not correct problem. I contacted Dodge and was given a case number. I took to dealer after it had rained and they confirmed ABS and ESC light were on and pulled code when I dropped off stating ABS module failure which is the part that fails in R61 when it rains. The next day it did not rain and dealer states ABS and ESC light off and there were no codes indicating no problem. They say they do not know how to repair and state Dodge told them it was out of warranty. I pointed out no expiration on recall and they have stated they don't know how to fix and don't know how to get paid for repairs if could find problem. Note: The R61 states it does not apply to right hand drive Fiat freemont because the water intrusion to ABS ground wire occurs when rain runs off passenger windshield and soaks ground wire and the right hand drive vehicles have ground wire that is culprit on drivers side and water from rain does not affect those wires. In 2016 they announced they were recalling 152,000 right hand drive Dodge Journeys (Fiat freemont) without explanation however this appears to be clear proof they do not know how or where water is entering ABS wiring system.

As I was driving my car on the city street I lost acceleration power, the traction light and the red lightning bolt came on. My car speed decreased and will not accelerate to over 12 miles an hour. I was on a city street with a speed limit of 40 miles an hour when the power decreases and another vehicle almost ran into my truck as I was trying to make it through the intersection. My car has coded the saying that my throttle needed to be replaced. The throttle was replaced and the car traction light and the lightning bolt still appeared on the dash. The car will not increase to over 12 miles an hour. My car is at the shop and the mechanic has diagnosed that the electrical issues should be on recall because there has been at least 6 Dodge's that he has repaired with the same issue.

Purchased my 2014 Dodge Journey in feburary 2019. Before having couple recalls done on my I had no lights on my dash board ever since purchased my car. Then I had recall T47 done on my car in April 2019 there begins to start randomly flashing the airbag deployment light on my dashboard. Could be in park or in gear the light will appear and stay all at random. Contacted dealership to schedule an additional recall and informed them of this airbag lighting issue. Was told that it caused from my seatbelt wiring. If that was the case then the light would have came on before ever having any recalls done more specifically the T47 recall for exactly that issue with the airbag wiring. Then the guy attempts to provide me with a quote on how much they were going to try and charge me to have it fixed !! I dont know what you would call this but I know it can not be legal !! please investigate and help stop this from happening to anyone else who uses this dealership !!!

I was driving on a city street. After going over a small bump on the street, the ABS warning light and check engine light came on. I was able to stop the vehicle. The warning went off temporarily, but when I started to drive again, there was a small skid and warning lights came back on. There is more "play" when I brake, but I was able to come to a stop.the warning lights have remained on. We have been having a lot of rain where I live. I have seen reports of other people having similar problems with my model of car. Reason : unknown.

I went into my church for about 2 hours and came back out and started the car to let it cool down for my kids. As it sat idling all of a sudden my check engine light is on, my etc light is flashing, and my ESC off light is on. Shut it off and turned it back on and the engine light was on. Started driving and the etc light started flashing and ESC off light came on. My car slowed down from 60mph on the highway and I couldn't speed back up. I had to pull over and turn car off and back on 3 times to make it back home. To make it home I had to put cruise control on and hope I didn't get behind someone going slower than me because all the lights would come back on.

About three weeks ago, the ABS and check light came on, I researched recalls and took car to schlossmann's Dodge city. I was advised that due to weather and water leaking into wire harness that it was corroded. In which this is the basis of the R61 recall. However, since my issue is with left wheel sensor and not the front right, it is not covered. I am wondering what the difference is - if the result and cause is the same - why would it not be covered" I have also noticed that the cruise control no longer works - is this related"

The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Journey. Within less than a year of owning the vehicle, the traction control and ABS warning indicators flashed. Also, the brake pedal seized when it was depressed and an abnormal noise was heard. The contact had to ease off of the brake pedal when making a stop and then cautiously apply the brake pedal again. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. The manufacturer issued NHTSA campaign number: 15V675000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic); however, the contact was uncertain if the vehicle was included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.

There are more problems with the car. There have been nothing but problems with this car since I bought it when it was brand new. It's only 4 years old. It leaks oil now too! I feel very unsafe driving this car with my children in it. There have been 9 recalls and now I see there are 2 that I haven't had done. This should be a lemon. This car is unsafe and I am still paying on this car. A car that has nothing but steering, electrical, air bag, engine and other numerous problems. I should be able to give this car back and walk away from it. This car is not safe! no one should be driving it! I had my oil changed and the next day it said I needed my oil changed. The driver window screeches, the steering wheel locks up, the car lags when I go to break. When I try to accelerate the car stalls and revs super high. The engine smells as if it were on fire. It's not safe. I'm very upset. I have 3 little children. I need my car to be safe and reliable. This car is neither. There has been nothing but problems since I got this car. But I'd have it fixed and then something else would happen. Now more is happening. Things I thought had been fixed even! please this car is a lemon. It needs to be destroyed so no one is able to drive it again.
