Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

While driving in normal conditions on the highway, the vehicle brakes were applied and I began to loss control of the vehicle. The vehicle then flipped over on its side and airbags eventually deployed. I was taken to the hospital for potential injuries from the incident. No citations were given for the loss to indicate negligence on my end. I believe this may have been resulted from the current recall on the vehicle.

On Thursday, July 3, 2014, I was leaving the city driving my new 2014 Dodge Journey. After driving for one minute the ESC display appeared and the car immediately decelerated to the point of almost cutting off in the middle of the street. This occurred in the middle of rush hour traffic, at stop lights, after pulling off from the stop lights, etc. This occurred for approximately 20 minutes. It was an extremely hot, sunny day, no rain in sight. Eventually, after getting onto a longer stretch of road, the constant deceleration in speed stopped and the ESC display indicator stopped turning on and off. I took the car immediately to the dealership where no codes or other issues could be discovered.
