Magnum RT Hemi
I bought the car at Smithhaven Dodge and had them install a remote start system. Not long after, the instrument panel began sporadically failing and then coming back on minutes later. Imagine driving at 55 mph when your gauges suddenly say you're doing zero, you have no gas, and your rpms are zero. Freaky! I researched this online and learned that the inaccurate gauges problem existed in other 2005 Magnums but I was told my car was not among the ones affected. The dealer's service department could never fix the problem. Well, now that the warranty on the remote start has run out, the dealer finally admitted it was improperly installed. They disconnected my remote start system to solve the problem of the failing instrument cluster panel. If I want a new remote start system, apparently I have to go buy a new one. This is not good business practice, especially since my spouse just bought another vehicle from them. I will not buy there again.
