Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety. Notes: This is a classic example of why you should avoid the first model year of a new car. Sure, it's new and shiny but there's going to be some growing pains.

The 2005 Magnum has problems with the gear shifter getting stuck, a shaky and sometimes stalled engine and transmission failure at 75,000 miles.

Let someone else deal with those headaches.

My ABS lights came on over the course of the last year 5 different times and went out without repair work. The lights finnally came on and would not go out. I replaced the ABS controller without issue, however I am the curious type. I opened the controller box to examine (post mortem if you will) and found a classic case of non-lead solder tin whisker groth shorting out several points on the board. The links below are several pictures of the tin whiskers that are classic in non-lead solder. The links below the pics are some details on tin whisker info.""section=artcl&article_id=238657&version_num=2&P=32
