The car wont shift gears easily and start up properly. I was told that it was the intake manifold. And that it has happened on several cars before mine. This sounds like a defect. I can be on the highway and the car want shift from slow to fast properly, which can cause a scary situation if some isn't paying attention.

Right when my 2008 Dodge Magnum hit 50,000 miles the transmission is shifting roughtly. Dodge says im not cover. The car is only 3 years old and it only has 59,900 miles on it now. I believe this is a manufacture problem and wanted to know if there were any recalls for this.

There is a piece in the driving gear shift that allows you to shift out of park and drive your vehicle. When this piece breaks it will not allow the gear shift to move out of park. This has been occurring in many Dodge vehicles. I have had four other people complain that this has happened to their car also. It seems to be a little plastic piece that seems very easy to break. It is inside the driving gear shift. It will just not allow the vehicle to move out of park but will allow to move through drive, reverse, and the other shifts.
