The service engine light will go off after a Lucas fuel injection treatment however when the gas tank drops down to a half the service engine light will come back on. The gas mileage without the Lucas treatment is 88 miles to the tank. Thats right the tank. With the treatment it is a little better averaging about 200 miles per tank. I am tired of spending money on this and that and it never has corrected the problem. Nothing has been cheap to repair on this car. The last thing I repaired was the o2 sensors at $350.00 and that did not repair the problem. The last shop suggested that I change the fuel injection which is not cheap by a long shot. This probably will not repair the problem either. An inspection sticker is an impossibility with this problem as well.
