Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Gas pedal folded over at approx a 90 degree angle, towards driver when driver was attempting to back out of a driveway. Since there was no support available for the foot to rest on, the foot slid off the gas pedal, sideways toward the brake. Durning the foot sliding, tip of shoe caught small part of gas pedal still attached causing car to surge resulting in collision of parked car with right rear bumper of Neon. Gas pedal at this time was noted to have split/broke at exact same spot on outside of gas pedal, by brake, and inside of gas pedal near consol. Both splits are right above where small screws connect a very thin, plastic gas pedal to metal rod at bottom 1/4 of pedal. Dodge dealer insist this break was done intentionally by a human. Yet they also insist that this part was near impossible to break. Wow I have a very strong 16 yr old daughter ! I thank god that she was only backing out of a driveway when this happened and not driving down the freeway. Car had been driven 3 times only when this occured..
